Just so you know, I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. This comes at no additional cost to you but does help me to keep the blog running. Usborne Publishing Ltd. (UK) has no connection with these pages and does not sponsor or support their content.
Holy Moly! I had grand plans of providing you all with tons of great resources on a weekly basis as we all embarked on virtual learning and figuring out our new “normal.” Once I began virtual teaching and learning with my Kindergartener life hit me fast. Nothing about this is normal. We are not meant to home school, work, and keep house full time. We’ve been taking it day by day and I will continue to provide value for you and your nenes to the best of my ability.
This week in the Book Nook we’ll be doing all things dinosaur. Check out the Week at a glance below:
Dinosaur Week at a glance:
Each week I will share a Pinterest board with activities that you can do. Finally, I will also share a Google Drive link to academic activities that I will be creating for you to get some more traditional school type assignments done. Resources will be available in English and Spanish if I can create them quickly enough. I will also try to include some differentiation by age/grade. These will be generic, and target toddler/early PreK, Early Elementary, Upper Elementary, and I will try to create book studies for 2nd grade and up, but these will take longer to create. I am making these available for $FREE.99, for the time being, for members of my Facebook Book Nook. If you join us later and don’t see the post always check the announcements section at the top of the page.

Join us on Sqweee in our virtual living room for this unique learning and shopping experience. Nenes as young as 3 years old may participate but will need a lot of guidance. This camp is a parent and me camp that requires an adult to be present and assist their nene through the camp. It will include storytime, we’ll hear from an expert and participate in activities all while parents will have an opportunity to browse and/or shop. There is no shopping required to participate in this event.
To get more information about camp please message me here.
Disclaimer:
Remember that the goal is to keep kids engaged in learning at home while schools are closed. I am not providing a curriculum so there is no scope and sequence. I’m just trying to match activities to books so your nenes can be exposed to reading, writing, math, science, and art on a regular basis.
Check out the Grossology Unit that we did here.
