This compilation of not so scary monster themed stories can help ease some fear for your kiddos, teach them great lessons about confidence and their emotions all while still allowing them to feel festive.
That’s Not My Monster (Usborne Books): First, is That’s Not My Monster. This title is one of Usborne Books & More’s best selling series. This adorable book is perfect for helping little ones develop sensory language and allows them to explore different textures on each page. It’s bright colors and bold outline are perfect for developing eyes as well.
Muddle and Match Monsters: Next, your kids will love the Muddle and Match series! In this book, your kiddos will be able to read the stories in any way they please. Read the pages as is and get great exposure to beginning sounds, alliteration and rhyming or mix them up and create silly creatures. This book allows you to create many different stories all in one book.

This is another story that is made fun by having your very own Whatif Monster to reenact the story with.
Billie and the Mini Monsters Series: Mister man loved this series! One day Billy discovers six little monsters hidden in his dresser drawer. He doesn’t have to worry because they’re friendly monsters but they do get into a lot of mischief! Each book in the series follows them as they get into a pickle and have you wondering how they will ever get out of it. You can buy the whole series here or you can buy each one individually. (Note: There is a book designated as book 1 to this series but they do not have to be read in any particular order as each has a quick 2-page introduction to the characters and how they found one another.)
